Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Elvis Manu has lavished praises on his father for his upbringing and encouraging him to get to the top of his career.

The 21-year-old is flourishing at the Eredivisie giants Feyenoord and is tipped for greatness after being handed a late call-up to the Dutch U21 side.

“My father did everything possible for me and the family, at one point he even had two jobs, I hardly saw him as he was always working to make life better for us,” Manu told Feyenoord Blog.

“And the little bit of what my parents had they put it down for me, I will never forget.”

Manu was born to Ghanaian parents in the Dutch city of Dordrecht and has always stated he feels Ghanaian and wants to play for the West African giants.
