The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has hinted that there is a fraudsater in Ghana masquarading as an football agent seeking to recruit players for foreign clubs.
The Ghanaian authorities say one Mustapha, a Ghanaian citizen based in the United Arab Emirates, is alleged to be luring unsuspecting young Ghanaian footballers.
He is said to be seeling to take the players to Dubai under the pretext of engaging them in a “justify your inclusion" football tournament.
The ministry is reliably informed that there is no such tournament coming up in Dubai and that there is a scam aimed at young ambitious footballers in Ghana.
The general public is therefore requested to take note and report to the security agencies any person who approaches them with such an offer.
