Ghanaian youngster Arvin Appiah scores from the spot but England U-17 get knocked out of EUROS

English born Ghanaian youngster Arvin Appiah scored from the spot in the Euro U-17 championship as England were beaten by Holland in the semi finals on penalties.

The Nottingham Forrest youngster  has been a revelation at the tournament but the game against Holland is the end of the road for him.

England were held to a 0-0 draw by Holland at Chesterfield, before being beaten 6-5 on penalties.

Holland had six successful attempts before Arsenal's Folarin Balogun saw his kick saved by Joey Koorevaar, to take Holland into Sunday’s final, where they will face Italy.

England had netted their previous five, with Appiah among the scorers.

Meanwhile, the Ghanaian is expected to excel in his footballing career after showing his potential at the tournament. England are world champions at this level.

Arvin Appiah, despite playing for the youth side of England is eligible to play for the national team of Ghana.
