Ghanaian striker Eric Bekoe was short of one goal in winning this season's top scorer award in the Egyptian Premier League.

Bekoe finished with 13 goals in second place and was toppled Police Union's Nigerian-import Minusu Buba who scored 14 goals.

It was double pain for Bekoe and compatriot Cofie Bekoe as Petrojet's dream of playing in Africa scuttled after losing 0-3 to Arab Contractors on Monday.

Petrojet finish in fifth and will place in next year's Caf Confederation Cup.

Al Ahly successfully defending the trophy they won last season wit a total of 65 points.

Rivals and closest contenders, Zamalek came in second in 55 points while Ismaily placed third with 48 points.
