Godwin Ablordey says they are working to improve their goal scoring form next season

Team manager of Asante Kotoko Godwin Ablordey has indicated that the technical bench of the team is putting measures in place to solve their profligacy in the upcoming season.

The Porcupine Warriors were one of the few scoring teams, where they only hit 23 goals in 30 games last term as they finished the campaign in the 5th spot.

Despite the club's few goal return, they were able to end the season with the President's Cup as well as the MTN FA Cup, however, they are determined to ease the pressure on their forwards by spreading the goals among their attacking players.

“We are okay for now. Our main problem last season (on the field) were the strikers and the issue of goal scoring, which we are taking care of. I’m looking forward to our squad to be beefed-up as soon as possible” said Ablordey.

Kotoko are yet to beef up their attacking front in the close season ahead of the Ghana Premier League and also their CAF Confederations Cup campaign, where they have been drawn against Club Athletic Renaissance Aiglon from Congo in the first round of the preliminary stage.
