Gyan thrills fans at Sunderland store

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan and Sunderland team mate Stephane Sessegnon signed autographs for more than four hours at the Store at The Stadium of Light on Thursday night.

The bumper signing session was subject to unprecedented demand as eager fans queued around the block to meet the pair.

Benin international Sessegnon was making his first public appearance as a Sunderland player, while Gyan treated supporters to an impromptu dancing session after grabbing his Ghanaian hiplife CD from his car!

The striker got his groove on to the track 'African Girls', on which he features alongside African star Castro, and signed hundreds of 'Strictly Come Gyaning' tees - a new line in club stores now.

The pair stayed until every last autograph was signed, eventually making their way home at around 8.30pm - three hours after their anticipated departure time.

Speaking after the event, Gyan said:  "The support is incredible here. I love the Gyaning t-shirts which people have been wearing, they made me laugh!

"Lots of fans have shown me their dance moves too so I hope they do the dance next time I score!"
