Hans Adu Sarpei's position at Schalke 04 is in danger after the club signed Christian Fuchs from Mainz to solve their problematic left back position.
Sarpei alongside three others have been able to nail down a first team spot in the back four.
The 30-year-old played part of Schalke 04's Uefa semi-finals plae last season.
Fuchs, who is 25, was on loan from Bundesliga II outfit Bochum and due to his impressive season at left-back for Thomas Tuchel's men, Mainz exercised its option to sign him on a permanent basis.
