Ghana Premier League side Heart of Lions have confirmed they will participate in next year's Caf Confederation Cup after placing fourth at the end of the season.

This increases the rank of Ghanaian clubs expressing their interests in playing continental football to three.

Heart of Lions Chief Executive Desmond Frimpong Manso claims they are ready for the big challenge.

"We will definitely play in Africa after a difficult season that saw us place a respectable third position," Manso told Ghanasoccernet.com

"We owe it to our fans to taste action on the African continent and the fact that we believe it will enhance our image as well.

"We know it is going t be financially stimulating and challenging but we are unperturbed and put in place mechanisms to drive some finances to aid our campaign this term."

Caf is yet to confirm whether Ghana can have four representatives at next year's Inter-club competition following reports that the continent’s controlling body had given the country a place each in both the Caf Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
