The continental sports broadcasters in South Africa, beaming on DStv, will be in the centre of affairs as the two fierce rivals renew their 51-year old rivalry.

The broadcasting of the game is a massive boost to the local game as its popularity is slowly being eroded by the invasion of European leagues on the television in Ghana.

Sunday’s encounter live on SuperSport 9 will start from 2.45pm with pre-match analysis and colour as tension build up for the game.

is without the title decider tag that one has become accustomed to over the years, as Bechem Chelsea’s sixteen points lead has made them champions in waiting.

But nevertheless there’s still a lot at stake, mainly bragging rights.

There’s the not so small matter of a place in the CAF Confederations Cup for Kotoko, and three points on Sunday afternoon could potentially elevate them to second spot in the league standings, bringing them a step closer to their target.

Also on the minds of the Porcupines will be breaking the duck of having only won once in Accra against Hearts.

Hearts, desire a top 4 finish. And in such a tight league where only four points separates them in 8th place from the final relegation spot, the safety of fourth place is now their main objective for the remainder of the season.

Ghana and the rest of Africa must brace themselves for their version of the El-Classico.
