Hearts of Oak midfielder Esme Mends has taken a swipe at the club's Chief Executive Fred Crentsil on facebook claiming he is disrespectful to the playing staff.

The 26 year old enforcer updated his status: "Hearts of Oak CEO stop being disrespectful to your players.''

The status clearly did not go down well with most teeming supporters of the club on the social networking site.

One fan replied to his post: "You do not have to tarnish the image of a bigger club like Hearts like this. You needed to have solved the issue in the locker-room before doing this bro.''

His former teammate Theophilus Appoh also commented on Esme's status by posting: "Ei you are doing your thing again..lol".

After several backlash from fans, the midfielder deleted the status from his wall.

Mends confirmed to GHANASoccernet.com: "I wasn't joking with what I wrote on Facebook.

"We had a meeting and there was disagreement because I didn't like the way he reacted and talked to me at all but we have now solved it.

"It is not the first time he has done that but I believe we have solved it so I won't talk about it again."

Several top football stars have come under severe criticisms about their expressions on social networking sites such as twitter and facebook.

Queens Park Rangers skipper Joey Barton has suffered several punishments for using twitter to criticize club officials, players and referees.
