Deputy coach of Hearts of Oak Edward Nii Odoom has lavished praises on his players in their 1-0 victory over sworn rivals Asante Kotoko in Week 10 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

The Phobians inflicted a defeat on their bitterest adversaries in the Super Clash courtesy Patrick Razak's second half stunner to ensure Hearts picked the maximum points.

Coach Odoom, who has been in charge of the team since Head Coach Henry Wellington's ailment, was full of praises for the players after the win on Sunday.

"First and foremost I will thank my players for what they have exhibited on the pitch," he said after the game. "What we told them to come and do, they came in and did exactly that."

"So I think I will give them thumbs up for the hard work they have done today."

Accra Hearts of Oak spurned several chances, which could have seen them win with a larger scoreline with winger Patrick Razak's spectacular overhead kick saved by the ever impressive Felix Annan.

Coach Nii Odoom wanted more goals and stated after the game the scoreline does not reflect the performance of the day.

"I think the 1-0 does not reflect in the game, we had a couple of chances, about two or three we could have buried but football at the end of the day, win is a win. When you win people wont talk about anything else."

Accra Hearts of Oak are now on the same points with Kumasi Asante Kotoko placed 8th on the league table.
