Hearts of Oak new signing Joseph Esso marked his home debut with a goal against AshantiGold on Saturday.
The hardworking striker scored his first goal for the club in the 75th minute of action to halve Ashgold's two-goal lead but it only proved to be a consolation as the Miners run 3-1 winners on the day.
Esso has settled well since making the move from Dwarfs.
He got the penalty that earned Hearts a point against Techiman Eleven Wonders in the first league game of the season.
The striker followed that up by netting a neat goal on Saturday against the Miners.
