Defender Owusu Sefa admits he is to blame for Hearts of Oak’s 2-0 defeat to Liberty Professionals on Sunday.

The left-back was red-carded on the stroke of halftime for a rash tackle which eventually proved costly for the Phobians.

Two second half goals by James Abban were enough to see Hearts slump to the second defeat of the campaign and Sefa immediately owns up to the loss.

“I take full responsibility for my stupid action which resulted in the red card,” he told Accra-based Hot FM.

“The sending off was clearly the reason why we lost and I want to apologize for it.

“I watched the replay of the match when I got home and realized I deserved the red card so there are no qualms about that.”

Sefa however insists he is not a dirty players as perceived to be following his suspension for the All Stars game for accumulated yellow cards.

“I am not an indiscipline player in that regard. This is football and things like these happen.

“I however concede I need to work on my temperament to ensure I am not found foul of the law in subsequent games,” he added.
