Paju: Twelve participants are taking part in the first-ever AFC Futsal Goalkeeping Coaching Certificate Level 1 Course which kicked-off in Korea Republic on Monday.

The five-day course began with classroom sessions in the Korea Football Association (KFA) headquarters, while the practical sessions were held at the Paju National Training Centre facilities.

KFA Technical Director Kwan Hwang-bo and Head of Education Hang Young-hoon attended the opening ceremony on Wednesday.

AFC instructor Marcos Yuji Yamada said the course was a great opportunity for the development of futsal in Korea Republic.

The participants will go through theoretical and practical sessions - studying and learning the basics of futsal goalkeeping - to improve their knowledge and coaching skills.

To complement the programme, the participants also discussed several trending topics in a group discussion, which helps develop a sense of teamwork among the coaches.
