Ishmael Addo demands 40,000 Ghana cedis for Hearts return

Ghanaian striker Ishmael Addo is demanding 40,000 Ghana cedis (US$ 26,666) from his former side Hearts of Oak before agreeing a one-year deal.

Hearts are in need of a serial goal poacher to aid their faltering league campaign.

His demands are likely to put off the club who lack the funds to meet his expectations.

The 28-year-old has without a club since returning from Indian Premier League side East Bengal.

The three-time former Ghana Premier League goal king struggled to remain in Europe after frustrating spells with clubs in France, Israel, Greece and Cyprus.

However, he was a member of the Maccabi Tel Aviv side which played in the Uefa Champions League in the 2004/05 season.

Addo emerged top scorer at the 1999 Fifa U-17 World Cup in New Zealand.
