Issah Ahmed: Ex-Black Stars defender set for Ghana Premier League return
Issah Ahmed is close to joining Olympics

Former Ghana World Cup defender Issah Ahmed has trained with Ghana Premier League returnees Great Olympics ahead of a proposed move.

Ahmed, 32, is one of the few big names the Wonder Club are aiming to bring on board on their return to the Ghanaian elite league and have had him trained with them.

According to reports, Olympics will seal a deal with the former Asante Kotoko center-back as early as next week as they seek to round up their transfer activity.

Ahmed, who has had spell in Denmark with Super League side Randers FC, came close to returning to the Ghanaian scene two seasons ago but Kotoko did not show interest in re-signing him.

However, he is expected to sign a season's contract with Olympics and complete his return.
