John Mensah backs depleted Stars to beat South Korea

Ghana captain John Mensah is confident the depleted squad can beat South Korea in Tuesday's international friendly match tomorrow in Jeonju.

The centre-back and six other key players will miss the assignment but the former Sunderland player is backing the team to get victory.

"Myself and the other key players are absent in persons due to other commitments and injuries , but we are with you in sprit," Mensah said on his personal website.

"I believe in my colleagues even though we are not there they still have a better team, having done it before, I know they will do it again. Even though is a friendly match I want to urge them to attach this match with all the needed seriousness as every match count in Fifa ranking."

He added: "I pray for the team that God should be behind them so that we will fly the flag of Ghana high come tomorrow."

Menash, Kevin Prince Boateng, Michael Essien, Samuel Inkoom,Sammy Adjei and Dede Ayew could not make the trip due injuries and other engagements
