John Pantsil to appear at charity football event

Ghana World Cup star John Panstil will appear at a charity football tournament this weekend in Rotherhithe.

The Fulham right-back will present awards to the winners of the Africa United tournament at Bacon’s College.

The charity tournament on Sunday will involved a maximum of 32 teams in a knockout competition to win £500 and the ''Princes of Africa'' crown.

Proceeds from the day will go to Pantsil's charity PPKP (Pantsil Peace Kid Project), which aims to promote peace by enhancing the physical, mental and social inclusion and development of children through sport.

The project is aimed at African children between the ages of 8 and 12, especially those in the conflict-prone zones in order to unite them to appreciate the importance of peace.
