Former Asante Kotoko assistant coach Johnson Smith has completed a two-year deal to Ghana Premier League side Arsenals as head coach.
The Gunners have been on the market for a substantive coach following the departure of Ebo Mends to Asante Kotoko.
"I can confirm that I have signed two years with Arsenals and looking forward to a successful season with them’’ Smith told Ghanasoccernet.com
"I’ve been given the mandate to qualify the team for the top four in my first season and that is what we will try to do in the coming months."
Smith guided Kotoko to a sixth place finish last season as caretaker coach.
