Chief Executive Officer of Division One side Karela FC, Senator Cobbinah Brigidi has revealed that the management of the club is ambitiously trying to build their own stadium by 2018 in the Western Region as their major long term plan.

The senator who is an avid supporter of Chelsea has insisted that modern football only thrives on structures and has since putting plans in place to secure their own stadium in three years time.

The lawyer and football enthusiast believes that clubs must have both short term and long term plans to be able to succeed as business entities and also provide recreation for their fans.

"As part of our long term plans, we want to ensure that we have our own stadium within the next three years where we will have a sporting village with all the medical facilities," Senator Cobbinah told GHANAsoccernet.com

"Every modern football team must have these facilities and all the attention one can think of. The players will feel very comfortable with these facilities and will always want to give their best," he added.

"Many people do not believe in the idea of plans but that is the best. Many times people speak and implementation becomes a problem but Karela FC will set the pace," he concluded.

Karela FC placed 5th in the just ended Zone Two Division One League with 44 points.
