Kevin-Prince Boateng is confident his club AC Milan will win the Italian league title if they maintain their impressive form.

The Ghanaian midfielder played a key role in the Rossoneri’s 2-1 highly important victory over Fiorentina on Sunday.

AC Milan maintained their three-point lead at the top of the Serie A table with second placed Napoli on 65 points.

AC Milan were able to overcome a Viola side that had lost just once in their last eleven fixtures at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, thanks to goals from Clarence Seedorf and Alexandre Pato.

Boateng was delighted with his personal performance during the win, in particular his link-up play which led to the Pato's goal just before half-time.

“It was a very important game, I am very happy with the result, the way I played and especially the one-two with Zlatan Ibrahimovic that led to Pato scoring,” the 24-year-old said.

“Moving the ball well and running is crucial to our game. Now we have to think and play like this in all our final games."

Milan will look to keep their three-point lead over Napoli at the top of Serie A, when they play host to Sampdoria in five days time.
