Asante Kotoko engage All Stars in a playoff on Sunday to determine which side seals the fifth position on the Ghana Premier League table.
Both sides are level on points, 44 apiece after the final day matches of the season on Wednesday.
Despite the use of the head-to-head rule, the results still draws both teams level, which means a one-off game will have to be played to settle who picks the position.
"It's important to set the record straight because it could happen to those at the top and bottom. If the third and fourth are unable to play in the Confederation Cup then we have to pick the fifth team and so the right thing must be done," PLB Chairman Welbeck Abra-Appiah said.
The match will be played at the Sunyani Coronation Park.
