Kotoko mgt gets temporal extension

Published on: 17 May 2010

Contrary to expectations, the management of Asante Kotoko has been handed a temporal mandate extension after meeting the club's Life Patron Otumfuo Osei Tutu II on Monday.

The Alhaji Abubakar Salifu Nje-led team has supervised one of the club's worst moment with the exiting the Caf Champions and missing out on a top 4 finish.

Fans were expecting Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to dissolve the management team and constitute a new management to take charge next season.

"Am disappointed in this season but I can say that the King wants them to come back with an end of year account and technical report. They have been told to reconcile their differences before the next meeting" A source told Ghanasoccernet.com

Reports say a new board will be set up and they will kick-out the management team.

Kotoko finished the season in fifth place.
