Kotoko rubbish Kwadwo Poku axing reports

Asante Kotoko have denied reports that striker Kwadwo Poku has been axed from the team.

Reports claimed that new coach Ebo Mends had told the player he did not fit into his plans for the next soccer season prompting anguish among the fans.

"As far we know Kwadwo Poku has not been on the transfer market and therefore it is not true that we have sacked him from the club," the club's communication director Jarvis Pepprah told Ghanasoccernet.com

"It is true that we have transfer-listed players like Stephen Manu, Frank Boateng and Iddrisu Yahaya and few others but does not include Kwadwo Poku who still remains the bona fide property of Asante Kotoko."
