Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko will unveil a lucrative sponsorship package with telecommunication network MTN on Wednesday, GHANAsoccernet can confirm.

The Porcupine Warriors refused to extend the contract of Tigo, another telephony operator whose contract expired last month.

The ceremony will precede their league match against Ebusua Dwarfs that afternoon.

"We cannot disclose figures for now but it's a sizeable increment in comparison with that of Tigo," Kotoko's International Relations manager Kwame Baah-Nuakoh told GHANAsoccernet.com

Last October, Kotoko signed a deal with Interplast, local producers of PVC pipes.

A number of companies have been linked with the Kotoko shirt deal including pharmaceutical giant Kinapharma.

MTN is also the current headline sponsor of Kotoko's arch rivals Hearts of Oak and King Faisal.
