Kotoko to play two international friendlies

Published on: 08 September 2011

Local giants Asante Kotoko have announced they will play two international club friendlies before the start of the league.

The 2010 FA Cup losing finalists have drawn up to test their readiness for the season after refusing to play in the pre-season eight-team tournament.

Kotoko are likely to play clubs from Ivory Coast after engaging Nigerian top flight side Warri Wolves a fortnight ago.

The Kumasi-based side finished third last season and have promised to win a 22nd league title this term.

Kotoko had a ten-day tour to Serbia last month.
