Ace sports journalist Kwabena Yeboah has declined an appointment to serve on the reconstituted Premier League Board of the Ghana Football Association.

The renowned sports writer was among ten persons listed by Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi to re-brand to top flight league.

But Yeboah has expressed disappointment over the way officials included him without seeking his consent.

"I didn't think I am ready to serve on the PLB, " he told Kumasi-based Angel FM

"I believe modern trend of administration refines that if you want to appoint somebody it's important that you inform the person and seek his or her consent."

He added that: "It's crucial to find out whether he or she has the time and capacity. Nothing of the sort was done.

"Let me thank them who have confidence in me. I appreciate them."

Yeboah owns the Africa Sports Newspaper and hosts Sports Highlights on Ghana Television.
