Liberty make bright start at Youth Cup

Ghanaian side Liberty Professionals made a winning start at the Lagos International Youth Cup after beating hosts Lagos United 2-1 on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.

Liberty scored two beautiful goals on the 8th and 34th minutes to go into the break with smiles.

The skillful Ghanaian side dominated but could not increase the scoreline in the second half.

Lagos United pulled one through an indirect free-kick after goalkeeper Stephen Odai picked up a back pass.

Liberty will confront Dutch side FC Utrecht on Thursday.
