Relegated French side Lorient has begun preseason without two of their Ghanaian players Majeed Waris and Alhassan Wakaso.
Alhassan Wakaso has been heavily tipped to return to Portugal after a disappointing first six months in France.
Waris who scored 10 league games for the club last season is with his national team for two friendly games, one against the United States and the other against the Mexico.
Both are however expected to start training with the team before next season commences.
