Malta FA delays scupper Agyemang move

Ex-Ghana youth international midfielder Papa Agyemang is considering his options after a proposed move to Maltese giants Floriana FC fell through in the last time minute.

The former Liberty Professionals ace was on the verge of signing for Floriana FC when the Maltese Football Association (MFA) pulled the plug on the lucrative deal.

Florian were keen on signing the for former Black Satellites midfielder to boost their side to help them in the run-in for the title with few matches remaining.

While awaiting the Maltese Football Association (MFA) to approve his move, he impressed in their friendly matches which heightened interest in the Ghanaian enforcer.

Bizarrely the MFA rejected the application for the transfer to be approved on Saturday even though he is a free agent.

This was after they had postponed several meetings to hear Agyemang's quest to play for Floriana FC.

The 25-year-old, who also holds a British passport, is returning to his base in London to consider his options for a transfer in summer most likely in Malta.
