Manchester City midfielder Mohammed Abu has told GHANsoccernet.com he is delighted with his progress on loan in Norway.

The 18-year-old ball holding midfielder was signed last August but farmed out to Norwegian side Stromsgodset till June 2011.

Tagged the 'New Makelele', he helped Stromsgodset qualify for next season's Europa Cup by winning the NM Cup.

He said: "Everything has been good so far, I arrived in the middle of the season and enjoyed playing time."

"The coach studied my progress and I can see he is well satisfied with me. But I am not resting. I am training hard every day.

Abu is aiming at securing a permanent place at Eastlands when his loan deal expires in June.

"My performance should improve so I hold down a place at City. It's my dream.

"Pre-season has already begun and we are leaving for Spain on the 15th for a month training tour. We will play FC Basel and FC Zurich."

Abu is aiming to be invited into Ghana’s Under-20 team.
