Paul Pogba has only been named among the Manchester United substitutes against Sevilla.

The Frenchman missed the win over Huddersfield on Saturday because of illness. But after returning to training on Sunday, the midfielder travelled with the rest of the squad to Spain on Tuesday.

Jose Mourinho suggested at his news conference on Tuesday evening that the 24-year-old was fit to start the Champions League round-of-16 first leg.

Sources told ESPN FC that Pogba had not been selected to face Sevilla, and it has been confirmed that Mourinho instead opts for a midfield three of Nemanja Matic, 21-year-old Scott McTominay and Ander Herrera, who has missed the last three games with a thigh injury.

Pogba has been substituted on his last two starts for United against Tottenham and Newcastle. He was left out of the team for the 2-0 win over Huddersfield in the Premier League on Feb. 3 before coming on as a 65th-minute substitute.

Man United: De Gea, Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Young, Matic, Herrera, McTominay, Mata, Lukaku, Sanchez.
