Mark van Bommel fumes over Muntari's disallowed goal

AC Milan midfielder Mark van Bommel is still fuming about Sulley Muntari's disallowed goal in the 1-1 draw with Juventus last week.

Match officials failed to see Muntari's strike beat Gianluigi Buffon, but replays showed the ball clearly over the line before the 'keeper snapped it up.

The goal would have made it 2-0 for the Rossoneri, and even though a late strike from Juve was also disallowed, Van Bommel believes his side were short-changed.

"I'd never seen anything like it in my playing career," the Dutchman told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday.

"At the end of the game Juventus boss Antonio Conte came to me and told me that we shouldn't be upset because they had a goal wiped out too.

"However, with our strike we would have been 2-0 up and been able to score more, Matri's would have made it 3-1, 4-1 or even 5-1.

"I can only remember an error of this magnitude at the 2010 World Cup between England and Germany."

"The game against Juventus was good for us from a psychological point of view," added the 34-year-old.

"It wasn't good to see Muntari's goal not given, but we are better mentally. Now Juve know that we are stronger."
