Kumasi Asante Kotoko are set to undergo a massive shakeup exercise with ten players likely to be shown the exit as the club strengthens the playing body for their CAF Confederation Cup  campaign next year.

This development is aimed at bringing the best and quality materials who are ripped enough to compete for the club in the CAF Confederations Cup in 2018.

This was affirmed by Head of Legal Team of the Porcupine Warriors who disclosed in an interview on Royal Sports on Royal TV that the club will offload about ten players to reduce the number for the coach to be able to prepare the side well for the task ahead.

Despite not mentioning names of the players who will be kissing goodbye to the club, the learned lawyer maintained that the management and the technical team have agreed to reduce the squad size to 26 from the current 36.

Media reports however claim that the players who are likely to be axed include Kwame Boateng and Emmanuel Asante who were loaned out to Great Olympics in the just vended season as well as Abeiuku Ainooson who was also loaned out to AshGold in the second round.

Others include right back Atta Kusi, midfielders Prince Acquah and Isaac Quansah, Abeiku as well as Emmanuel Osei Carlos who went on loan to Asokwa Deportivo for the end of the season.

Eric Donkor and Richard Osei Agyemang who were all first team players in the just ended season are also reported to be exiting the Porcupine Warriors together with goalkeeper Isaac Amoako.

According to Lawyer Yaw Boafo, the coach Steve Polack will submit his wish-list to the management before departing for his home country Finland for holidays.
