Inter Allies

Inter Allies FC will open the 2017/2018 season at home on Saturday for their fifth Ghana Premier League campaign when they host Bechem United at the Tema stadium.

The capital based club needed the last four matches to retain their premiership status last term.

They finished just one place above the relegation zone on the 13th position with 40 points.

Their battle for survival led to the sacking of the head coach Prince Owusu last season.

Japanese-American gaffer Kenichi Yatsuhashi has been appointed the new head coach and will be  expecting a perfect start to his second stint in Ghana football by recording a win this weekend.

The "Eleven Is To One" outfit are tipped for an improved season with looking at their new additions.

Nigerien international forward Victorien Adje Adebayor, Richmond Nii Lamptey, Michel Otou, Joseph Baffour Gyawu are among the list expected to make their debuts.

Bechem United had a rollercoaster campaign last season which saw them avoiding the relegation with a victory on the last day.

They travel to Tema stadium this weekend with the intentions of starting the 2017/2018 season with a win to propel them subsequently to make improvement from last term.

Despite their quietness in the pre-season, the Hunters defied the odds to reach semi-finals of the GFA Gala competition eliminating G8 tournament winners Dreams FC on the way.

Bismark Kobby Mensah has been appointed the new substantive head coach and will be leading the Hunters in their first game of the season on Saturday.

New signings Asiamah Badu, Sampson Boampong Wireko and Kwadwo Asamoah will be making their first bows in Bechem United shirt if they make the match squad to play on the weekend.
