Wa All Stars kept their league title ambitions intact with a crucial 1-0 win over relegation-trapped New Edubiase United in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Emmanuel Ocran head home a Samuel Baako cross in the first-half to split the two sides.

Nasir Lamine broke the heart of the home side when squandered a penalty in the game.

Edubiase were inspired by their unfancied win at Techiman City in midweek while Wa All Stars knew they had to bag the maximum points if they are to maintain their challenge for the league title.

The Movers exerted early pressure on the Northers but Bismark Idan missed two great chances.

All Stars tilted the game in their favour when Emmanuel Ocran laced through the back to connect home a Samuel Baako delirious cross from the right. Edubiase could have dealt with the spilled ball but Ocran ghosted into fire home for the visitors.
