Ghana striker Matthew Amoah ended his five-month goal-drought in the Dutch Eredivisie by scoring for NAC Breda in their 1-2 home reverse to Heracles Almelo.

Amoah, 30, has failed to score since he last netted in December's 3-1 away victory over Excelsor Rotterdam.

But he got on the score-sheet on Sunday in a high-tempo game that saw both teams finish with ten men

The former Borussia Dortmund striker opened the scoring for Breda after 18 minutes.

His effort sailed past Heracles' Remko Pasveer to give John Karelse's men the lead.

Heracles profited from Breda's numerical disadvantage when they scored twice after the break to win the tie 2-1.
