Ghana Premier League new boys Medeama SC are unsure about their home venue for the upcoming season which kick-starts early next month.

Management of the Tarkwa-based club is struggling to meet the requirements of the Premier League Board after the Dompem Park venue was ruled out.

Options available to the club are an hour-and-half drive to the Essipong Stadium in Sekondi or to  nearby Prestea.

"The PLB visited our home turf at Dompem and refused to sanction the place for us and that has left with other options for us to look at," the club's Chief Executive James Essilfie said.

"We are looking at either the Essipong stadium in Sekondi or Prestea for our home matches. The pressure from our fans to ensure we play our matches at home has been very incessant but at the moment our hands are tied."

Medeama Sporting Club, situated at a mining town, might enjoy financial support from mining firms in the community.

Last year, the club were helped Goldfields Limited, headline of the Ghana national team.
