Ghana midfielder Rahim Ayew is expected to return to active play in three weeks, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 23-year-old has been out with a groin injury for about a month but has started individual training on his way to a full recovery.
A medical assessment of the SK Lierse enforcerââ¬â¢s injury during the week revealed the 5-inches tear in his groin has healed by 3-inches.
He will continue to train on his own with daily gym works throughout next week before being introduced to kicking a ball.
Ayewââ¬â¢s form was on a gradual leap before suffering the setback but he is very hopefully of making an even better comeback when finally cleared to play.
ââ¬ÅI have been working twice everyday with the clubââ¬â¢s medical team mainly in the gym and the signs are already looking very encouraging,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅI am at this point fully concentrated on regaining my fitness but I am very much convinced my form will return when I am cleared to play.ââ¬
