Ghanaian striker Mohammed Anas scored his third goal of the season as Free State Stars defeated Ajax Cape Town 2-0 in the Premier Soccer League on Wednesday.

Edward Manqele opened the scoring in the 43rd minute for the hosts.

Stars doubled their lead just five minutes into the second half through an Anas strike.

It was Free State Stars third consecutive Absa Premiership win to lift them to seventh spot.
