Ghana's World Cup-bound midfielder Sulley Muntari will be permitted to join his international team mates on a later date, according to the Ghana Football Association.

Muntari is part of the Inter Milan set-up that will face Bayern Munich in the final of the Uefa Champions League on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 25-year-old will delay his arrival in the Ghana camp which begins its pre-tournament training  in Paris two days after the Champions League final.

The Ghana FA says they will not hesitate allow the player some respite before turning his focus on the World Cup.

"Why not, we are well aware of his engagements and so we will permit him to come late. He will be given some few days of after the final to rest before joining up with the squad in France," Ghana FA Vice-President Fred Pappoe told Ghanasoccernet.com.
