New Asante Kotoko striker Nathaniel Asamoah says his decision for not celebrating his pair of goals against his former side All Stars was to show 'respect'.

Asamoah, who joined Kotoko for the second round of the season, grabbed the headlines in the first competitive match against a side he left only three weeks ago.

The young striker refused to celebrate both goals in the usual fashion as mark of respect for a side that has transformed his career.

Asamoah moved to joint top scorer of the campaign with 7 goals from 16 rounds of matches.

Kotoko tackle Dwarfs next on Wednesday in the Glo Premier League at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
