English Championship side Nottingham Forest have been linked with Holland-born Ghana international Edwin Gyasi.

But they face competition from another Championship side Sunderland who are said to be interested in the services of the winger.

Premier League clubs Swansea City and West Brom also reportedly tracking him ahead of the January transfer window.

Gyasi currently plays for Norwegian side Aalesund where he has scored seven goals in 29 matches.

The 26-year-old made his international debut just three months ago, as a substitute in a World Cup qualifier against Congo.

He scored his first goal for Ghana on his full debut, in a 1-1 draw against Egypt in another World Cup qualifier last month.
