Ghana Black Stars B center back Musah Nuhu has been hailed by team mate Gideon Waja for his outstanding performance in Ouagadougou which earned Ghana a 2-2 draw in the first leg of the CHAN qualifier.

Nuhu, who was the main pillar in defense for the Black Stars B stood shoulder to shoulder with the dangerous Burkina Faso attackers, clearing all the dangerous balls.

The WAFA center back made two on the line clearances as well stopping the scary Burkina Faso attackers when the Black Stars B had been subjected to immense pressure.

And Waja, who scored Ghana’s second goal in a flashy style says Nuhu was superb.

“He did a great job. He was winning all the air balls and I was really impressed with his performance.

“His partnership with Awal was good but the start of the game wasn't too good for all of us. We all didn't start well in the beginning but Nuhu did a great job in the second half,” Waja told GHANAsoccernet.com

The stupendous performance of the 20 year old center back also attracted applauds from the few Burkinabes who were at the Stade du 4 Aout.

Ghana will host the return leg of the encounter on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
