Ghanaian midfielder Edmund Owusu Ansah could win the double in Vietnam if his side Song Lam Nghe beat Navi Bank Saigon FA Cup final on Saturday.

The ex-Asante Kotoko skipper inspired the Vinh City-based side to clinch their first V-league title in ten years last week.

Ansah is now eyeing a double with the league champions this weekend to conclude a memorable season for the Ghanaian.

"I am very happy with what we have been able to achieve and I'm looking forward to adding the FA cup to the league cup we won," he told GHANAsoccernet.com

"I am very optimistic the league success will open any door for me. I wish to thank the fans for their unflinching support in the course of the season and we hope to make them happy again tomorrow."

The former Heart of Lions midfielder scored some important goals for the side last term and the success in Asia could prove the cataylst for a breakthrough in Europe.

Owusu-Ansah captained Ghana's home-based national team to win silver in the maiden edition of the Championship of African Nation (CHAN) tournament in 2009.
