Kwadwo Asamoah in action for Juventus

Ghana internationals David Accam, Samuel Tetteh and Patrick Twumasi were on target for their clubs over the weekend while Kwadwo Asamoah sparkled for Juventus in the Serie A opener.

Dutch-born Ghanaian Elton Acolatse climbed off the bench to score one of the consolation goals for Westerlo in Belgium.

Dansoman-born Daniel Agyei, Raphael Dwamena, Finnish-born Solomon Duah, Reagy Ofosu, Lovette Felicia and Johnathan Opoku were all on target for their clubs during the weekend.

Former Arsenal ace Quincy Owusu-Abeyie provided an assist for NEC Nijmegen in their crucial win in the Dutch Eredivisie.

ENGLAND

Jeffrey Schlupp was left out of the Leicester City squad that held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw. Defender Daniel Amartey watched the game from the bench as he was unused.

Winger Albert Adomah came off the Middlesbrough bench in the second-half to play in their 2-1 away win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Injured Andre Ayew watched from the screens as his West Ham United nicked a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the Olympic Stadium in London.

In the Championship, attacker Elvis Manu could not make the Brighton squad for their 2-2 draw with Reading. English-born Ghanaian youngster Tariqe Fosu was not in the Reading squad for the game.

Jordan Ayew played the full 90 minutes for Aston Villa who managed a 0-0 draw at Derby County.

Elsewhere at the Coral Windows Stadium in the League One, Dansoman-born Daniel Agyei scored on his debut for Coventry City who threw away their lead to lose 3-1 against Bradford City. Duo Kwame Thomas and Corey Addai were not in the Coventry squad for the game.

Meanwhile in the League Two, former Liberty Professionals starlet Koby Arthur played 75 minutes for Cheltenham Town who recorded a 1-0 home loss against Doncaster Rovers at the LCI Rail Stadium.

In other games, Wales-born 15-year-old defender Ethan Ampadu warmed the bench for Exter City who lost 2-1 against Accrington Stanley.

Former Chelsea youth captain Daniel Pappoe Mills was not in the Crawley Town that drew 1-1 with Barnet.

FRANCE

Striker Abdul Majeed Waris lasted the entire period for ten-man Lorient who were mauled 3-0 by visiting Bastia at the Stade Yves Allainmat - Le Moustoir. Ghana U20 midfielder Godfrey Acheampong was excluded from the Bastia squad for the game.

French-born Enock Kwateng was unused by Nantes in their 1-0 home loss against AS Monaco.

In Ligue 2, former Ghana U20 defender Emmanuel Ntim was not in the Valenciennes team that lost 3-2 against Brest.

Meanwhile midfielder Joachim Adukor was not in the Beziers team that won 3-0 against Creteil.

Charles Boateng was not included in the Avranches side that stole a 1-0 win from their clash with FC Paris.

SPAIN

Thomas Partey was not in the Atletico Madrid side that drew 1-1 with newly-promoted side Deportivo Alaves.

Clifford Aboagye failed to make the Granada CF first team squad that drew 1-1 with Villarreal.

In the Segunda Division, goalkeeper Razak Brimah lost his automatic starting place at Cordoba who won 1-0 against Tenerife.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba was not in the Elche side that won 2-1 against Rayo Vallecano.

ITALY

Kwadwo Asamoah sparkled for Juventus as the Old Ladies defeated Fiorentina 2-1. Asamoah played the full 90 minutes. Amidu Salifu could not make the Fiorentina squad for the game.

Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was in full time action for Udinese who suffered a 4-0 mauling at AS Roma.

Carlos Bacca scored a hat-trick for AC Milan to help them defeat Torino 3-2. Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah played the entire duration of the game for Torino.

Midfielder Godfred Donsah was absent from the Bologna squad that won 1-0 against Crotone.

Isaac Cofie warmed the bench for Genoa who posted a 3-1 win over Cagliari.

Young defender Claud Adjapong came off the bench to play for Sassuolo in their 1-0 win at Palermo. But midfielder Alfred Duncan was not in the Sassuolo squad for the game.

Pescara opened their Serie A campaign with a 2-2 draw with Napoli at the Stadio Adriatico-Giovanni Cornacchia. Midfielder Ransford Selasi warmed the bench for the newly-promoted side.

GERMANY

In the German Pokal Cup, Ghanaian pair of Joseph Baffo and Philemon Ofosu-Ayeh were in action for Eintract Braunschweig who lost 1-0 against Würzburger Kickers.

Ghanaian-born Canadian international Randy Edwini-Bonsu came off the bench to play for Homburg who lost 3-0 against Stuttgart.

21-year-old Jan Gyamerah came off the Bochum bench to play in their 4-3 loss against lower-tier side Astoria Walldorf.

Chelsea loanee Baba Rahman lasted 72 minutes for Schalke 04 who won 4-1 against Villingen. 18-year-old Bernard Tekpetey was not in the Schalke squad for the game.

Daniel Opare impressed in defence for Augsburg who won 2-0 against Ravensburg.

German-born Christopher Avevor played the full 90 minutes for St Pauli who won 3-0 against Lubeck.

NETHERLANDS

Ghanaian-born Portugal youth international Asumah Abubakari was unused by Willem II who shocked themselves with a 2-1 win over Ajax Amsterdam at their own backyard.

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen starred in defence for AZ Alkmaar who travelled to the Stadion Galgenwaard to beat FC Utrecht 2-1.

Quincy Owusu-Abeyie assisted the match-winner which was scored by Reagy Ofosu as NEC Nijmegen claimed a 2-1 win over Heerenveen.

Manchester City loanee Yaw Yeboah lasted 80 minutes for FC Twente who posted a 4-3 win over FC Groningen.

Rodney Antwi played the full 90 minutes for FC Utrecht II who lost 3-1 against De Graafschap.

Johnathan Opoku scored the opener for VVV Venlo in their 2-0 win over Oss.

Manchester City loanee Thomas Agyepong played 75 minutes for NAC Breda in their 2-1 win over MVV.

In the third-tier league, Ghanaian forward Lovette Felicia scored the equaliser for Sparta Rotterdam II who drew 2-2 with TEC.

SCOTLAND

Joe Dodoo was introduced in the second-half by Rangers who won 2-1 over visiting Motherwell.

Prince Buaben came off the Heart of Midlothian bench to play the last 20 minutes in their 5-1 win over Inverness CT.

Midfielder Abdul Osman captained ten-man Partick Thistle to a 2-1 away loss against Aberdeen at the Pittodrie Stadium.

AUSTRIA

Attacker Samuel Tetteh inspired Liefering to a 2-0 win over Kapfenberger SV in the Austrian second-tier. Neither Lawrence Ati-Zigi nor Gideon Mensah was in the Liefering squad for the game.

Red-hot forward Raphael Dwamena scored the only goal of the game for Austria Lustenau who beat Wacker Innsbruck 1-0 at their own backyard.

BELGIUM

Youngster Emmanuel Adjei Sowah marked his debut in the Belgian top-flight after coming off the bench to play for Anderlecht in their 2-2 draw with AS Eupen. The 18-year-old former Dreams FC boy was introduced in the 70th minute but Frank Acheampong was not included in the Anderlecht squad for the game. Youngster Eric Ocansey was in full time action for Eupen.

Former New Edubiase United captain Asiedu Attobrah failed to make the grades for Kortrijk's squad that won 2-1 against Club Brugge.

Nana Opoku Ampomah watched Waasland-Beveren's 2-2 draw with KV Mechelen.

Bennard Kumordzi came off the Genk bench to play the last 4 minutes of normal time in their 3-0 win over Lokeren. Eugene Ansah failed to make the Lokeren squad for the game.

Gent managed a 4-2 win over Westerlo. Defender Nana Akwasi Asare was not in the Gent squad but defender Mitch Apau played the entire game for Westerlo. Dutch-born Elton Acolatse came off the bench to score the consolation goal for Westerlo.

Former Ghana U20 striker Francis Narh was in action for Levski Sofia in their 4-0 win over Slavia Sofia.

DENMARK

Danny Amankwaa warmed the FC Copenhagen bench in their 1-1 draw with AaB.

In other games, former Manchester City starlet Godsway Donyoh scored the equaliser for Nordsjælland in their 1-1 draw with Randers FC. Winger Ernest Asante debuted for Nordsjælland. Midfielder Collins Tanor watched the game from the bench. Neither Abdul Mumin nor Dominic Oduro was not in the Nordsjælland team for the game.

Joseph Mensah watched from the Horsens bench in their 2-1 win over Lyngby in the Superliga.

ESTONIA

2006 Ghana World Cup star Haminu Dramani played the full 90 minutes for Infonnet in their 1-0 win over Paide. Former Asante Kotoko defender Michael Ofosu Appiah was not in the Infonnet squad for the game.

FINLAND

Striker Ransford Osei came off the RoPS bench to play in their 3-1 loss against PS Kemi.

Midfielder Anthony Annan played the entire 90 minutes for HJK Helsinki in their 0-0 draw with VPS. Midfielder Richard Gadze could not make the squad for HJK.

Finnish-born Ghanaian forward Solomon Duah scored the match-winner Inter Turku in their 2-1 win over Lahti.

POLAND

Midfielder Aziz Tetteh played the full 90 minutes for Lech Poznan in their 0-0 draw with Nieciecza on Saturday.

Young striker Sadam Sulley could not make the Legia Warsaw squad for their 3-1 home loss against Arka Gdynia.

KAZAKHSTAN

Striker Patrick Twumasi scored the second goal for FC Astana in their 2-0 win over Ordabasy.

PORTUGAL

Ghana youth forward Osei Barnes played 65 minutes for Paços de Ferreira who lost 1-0 against Sporting CP.

Neither Ernest Ohemeng nor Emmanuel Boateng was in the Moreirense team that defeated Feirense 3-0.

In the second-tier league, former FC Porto starlet Lumor Agbenyenu played the entire game for Portimonense in their 2-0 win over União Madeira.

ROMANIA

Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muniru was unused by Steaue Bucuresti who shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with city-rivals Dinamo Bucuresti.

RUSSIA

Jonathan Mensah came off the Anzhi bench to play in their 2-1 win over Rubin Kazan'. Midfielder Rabiu Mohammed was not in the Anzhi squad for the game.

SWEDEN

Former Heart of Lions midfielder Kwame Bonsu came off the bench to play for Gefle in their 1-1 draw with Falkenberg. But Enock Kwakwa was not in the Falkenbergs team for the game.

Ebenezer Ofori played full throttle for AIK Solna in their 2-0 win over Orebro. Former Inter Allies defender Edward Kpzodo was not in the AIK squad for the game.

Midfielder Kingsley Sarfo was in action for Sirius in the second-tier league as they lost 1-0 against Degerfors.

Former New Edubiase United forward Abdul Basit-Adams played 57 minutes for Frej who won 2-1 against Atvidaberg.

Goalkeeper William Amamoo warmed the bench for Angelholm in their 1-1 draw with Trelleborg on Saturday.

SWITZERLAND

Former New Edubiase United midfielder Kassim Nuhu could not make his debut for Young Boys Bern in their 7-2 win over Luzern Sport.

Neither Ebenezer Assifuah nor Ishmael Yartey was in the FC Sion team that lost 2-1 against Grasshoppers.

NORWAY

Ghanaian pair of Mohammed Abu and Bismark Adjei-Boateng were in full time action for Stromsgodset in their 1-0 loss at Sarpsborg.

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey was in between the sticks for Rosenborg BK who were held to a 1-1 draw by FK Brann.

Kamal Issah was not in the Stabaek squad that won 3-0 over Aalesund. Dutch-born Edwin Gyasi was in action for the losers.

IK Start and Sogndal IF shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Striker Dennis Antwi lasted 88 minutes for Start while Gilbert Koomson assisted Sogndal's goal. Striker Mahatma Otoo was unused by Sogndal.

TURKEY

Both Isaac Sackey and Nuru Sulley started the game for Alanyaspor who suffered a 4-1 loss against Besiktas.

Defender Samuel Inkoom was absent from Antalyaspor's 0-0 draw with Osmanlispor.

Former Ghana U20 defender Joseph Attamah could not make the Istanbul squad for their 1-0 win over Fenerbahce.

USA

Ema Boateng replaced Nigel di Jong in the second-half of LA Galaxy's 1-0 away loss at New York City FC.

Kofi Sarkodie was on the SJ Earthquakes bench for their 2-1 loss against Houston on Saturday.

Ghana international David Accam heralded a strong display by Chicago Fire as he scored and provided an assist in their emphatic 3-0 romping of Montreal Impact in the American Major League Soccer on Saturday. Dominic Oduro was unused by the Impact.

Charles Sapong and Joshua Yaro were both in action for Philadelphia Union who slipped to a 3-1 loss against Toronto FC.

Columbus Crew claimed all the maximum points at stake after beating England Revolution 2-0 at their own backyard. Harrison Afful excelled in defence while Gershon Koffie played in midfield for the home side.

Sampa-born Emmanuel Appiah warmed the bench for Sporting KC who  won 2-0 against Vancouver Whitecaps.

Ghanaian trio of Lloyd Sam and Patrick Nyarko were in action for DC United in their 2-2 draw with New York Red Bulls. But Kofi Opare was unused by United.

In the second-tier league, Miami FC nicked a 2-1 win over Rayo Oklahoma. Midfielder Kwadwo Poku played the entire game for Miami while Derek Boateng lasted 72 minutes for the losers.

Michael Kafari played the entire game for Puerto Rico in their 2-1 home loss against New York Cosmos.
