Published on: 21 May 2018

European football expert, Reuben Obodai brings you a comprehensive update on how Ghanaian players performed in abroad this weekend.

Frank Acheampong celebrated his return to Black Stars with another goal in China -  Ghanaians will be hoping he can replicate his scintillating form for the Black Stars in the upcoming double header friendlies.

However, the sad news coming from that region indicate that striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom is set to pull out of Ghana's upcoming friendly double-header after picking up an injury in Sunday's  2-0 defeat to Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League. The Jiangsu Suning hitman twisted his ankle after a heavy tackle on him.

Joel Fameyeh delivered when it mattered most for Brest as he registered his name on the score sheet to end BATE Borisov dominance in the cup. The former Asokwa Deportivo marksman joins the title-winning Ghanaian players abroad.

Lastly, Kevin Prince Boateng exhibited one of his best games for Frankfurt as they shocked Bayern Munich to lift the German Cup. It was the Eagles first cup in 30 years and the Ghanaian will go down in history as the player who provided the assist for the opening goal.
