Playing for the national team comes with a lot of pressure, says Winful Cobbinah

Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobbinah has admitted playing for the national team comes with more pressure than playing for the a club side. 

The 25 year old played entire duration when the Black Stars B drew 2-2 with Burkina Faso in the CHAN 2018 qualifier first leg last Saturday in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. 

They host the Local Stallions on Sunday at the Babayara stadium in the second leg of the qualifier.  ”The biggest difference is that, at the club side there isn’t much pressure since the pressure level is not that high. Everyone expects something high in the national team hence playing for the national team is not easy.” he told sportsnetghana.com 

The mercurial midfielder insisted expectations at the national team level is very high since the best players in the country are always assembled so one must prove his inclusion. 

”The expectations at the national level is always on the high as there are many good players in the country and if you are lucky to be selected into the final squad then you would have to prove your worth”.
