Premier League Board has confirmed that Wednesday's Glo Premier League match between AshantiGold and New Edubiase will go on as planned.

Edubiase had vowed to boycott the trip to the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium for fear of their lives.

The corresponding fixture ended in violence as buses of AshantiGold were destroyed and fans beaten up.

Pockets of their followers wanted to retaliate during the mid-week and had planned a hellish treatment for the side.

But after a meeting with the organizers of the league, the two parties settled their differences.

''We met the owners of the two clubs to try and resolve the issue and I’m glad we have a consensus and so the match will take place at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium. We’re hopeful the supporters of both clubs will respect the decision of their authorities and ensure the game comes of without any incident," PLB Chairman Welbeck Abra-Appiah said

New Edubiase have since issued a groveling apology to the Miners over issues that erupted in their first meeting at home.
