The Premier League Board of Ghana has told clubs they will be denied player registration cards if they if they fail to produce medical certificates for each player.

All 16 clubs in the top flight agreed at an extra-ordinary congress in March to conduct medicals for each player listed for the season.

But the PLB and the Ghana Football Association understand majority of the clubs are failing to comply with the directive.

Chief Executive of newly-promoted Takyi Arhin has been quoted in the local media as saying the exercise was increasing the club's cost.

Last season, a Kessben FC player who collapsed during a League match, died hours after being rushed to the hospital.

The Ghana League is scheduled to begin on 5 September.
